In order to further improve laboratory safety awareness and fire safety emergency response ability, and create a safe, stable and harmonious campus environment, our college held the 2024 laboratory safety training and fire drill on January 10. The meeting was presided over by Shen Song, vice president of the laboratory. Liu Zhengxin, secretary of the School of Pharmacy, mobilized the conference, and Zhu Weihua, deputy director of the Laboratory and Equipment Management Department, and Wu Yunlong, chief of the Laboratory Technology Safety Section, were invited to give safety lectures. Freshmen, new teachers, safety officers of the research group, all counselors and central laboratory personnel of the school of Pharmacy participated in the meeting training. The activity was strongly supported by the school Security Department and the Logistics Department (Group) Property Service Center.
Liu Zhengxin, secretary of the College of Pharmacy, stressed the importance of laboratory safety at the meeting, and Zhu Weihua, deputy director of the Laboratory and equipment Management Department, gave a lecture entitled "Make concerted efforts to do a good job in laboratory safety education and continuously improve the level of laboratory safety management", hoping that everyone can do "want me to be safe, I want to be safe, I will be safe". Wu Yunlong, chief of the Laboratory Technology Safety Section, explained the correct response methods and measures from the technical level with the safety cases around him, and once again emphasized the importance of laboratory safety.
Subsequently, the safe evacuation fire drill kicked off in the sound of the alarm, the relevant departments and departments of the college arrived at the designated post in accordance with the safe evacuation drill plan, quickly organized the teachers and students of Pharmacy Building 1 and Building 2 to carry out their own prevention according to the fire disposal procedures, and quickly and orderly evacuated to the safety zone along the designated route. Finally, the school security department conducted a real scene simulation of the fire, demonstrated the operation procedure of the fire extinguisher on the spot, guided the teachers and students to carry out practical operation and master the correct use of the fire extinguisher.
Through this training and exercise, hidden dangers in daily safety prevention were found, teachers and students were reminded of dangers everywhere, effectively enhanced the laboratory safety awareness and the ability to deal with emergencies and self-rescue in case of fire, and improved safety awareness.
