Twenty teachers from the departments of pharmacy, pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical engineering joined together to learn the practical steps on “How to Advocate Curriculum Ideological and Political Education in Professional Course Teaching”. The seminar was hosted by School of Pharmacy in 1301 conference room on Dec. 1st, 2021. Tong Shanshan, the vice dean of school of pharmacy, presided over the seminar. Xu Weidong, the department chairman of pharmacy, gave a great lecture. Xu Weidong took “curriculum ideology and politics in pharmacology course” as an example, and made the keynote talks on “How does curriculum ideological and political education integrate value guidance and professional knowledge” and “How to achieve the unity of knowledge education and value guidance”.

In this seminar, many teachers participated the discussion and expressed their opinions. Combined their teaching experiences, they shared their own thinking, confusions and suggestions. They also discussed many topics extensively and deeply, such as the discovery method of ideological and political elements, the integration approach for professional courses, and the assessment mode of curriculum ideology and politics.

Through this seminar, teachers’ awareness, understanding and teaching ability of curriculum ideology and politics has been further improved, which greatly promoted the construction of “curriculum edeological and political education” in School of Pharmacy.
