On July 31, the final of the fourth National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition came to an end in UESTC. The pharmacology taught by Associate Professor Sun Jing from the School of Pharmacy of Jiangsu University won the first prize of the New Medical group. This is the best achievement of our school in the national Comprehensive teacher teaching competition, achieving a historic breakthrough.
The fourth National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition was officially launched in November 2023, with 104,686 teachers from 1249 colleges and universities in 32 regions across the country participating in the school competition and 25,761 teachers participating in the provincial competition. After selection, a total of 1779 teachers (including team teachers) of 483 courses participated in the national finals. The pharmacology course taught by Associate Professor Sun Jing's team of our college, from the perspective of the national strategy of healthy China, restructured the teaching content, created teaching resources, actively carried out teaching innovation and reform, achieved remarkable teaching results, was fully recognized by the expert judges, and won the national first prize.
All along, the school has been adhering to the moral cultivation, earnestly implementing the "people-oriented" requirements, attaching great importance to the improvement of teachers' education and teaching ability, comprehensively promoting teaching reform and innovation, and achieving outstanding results. Guided by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the Chinese Association of Higher Education, the National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition is the only college teachers' teaching competition activity in the List of Reserved items of the Three Evaluation and One Competition of Units directly under the Ministry of Education during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. The competition aims to further promote the construction of a strong education country and the high-quality development of higher education, implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and educating people, vigorously promote the spirit of educators, help the ideological and political construction of college curriculum and the construction of new engineering, new medical science, new agricultural science and new liberal arts, promote the innovation and development of information technology and higher education teaching, and improve the effectiveness of collaborative education between production and education. Improve the teaching ability of college teachers and the quality of college talent independent training, and create a vane for college teaching reform.
